What are your goals for 2016!!!!! I would love to hear them. And hear the great pointers on how you are going to make those goals happen!
I am having a hard time these last couple weeks with getting the time and energy to run these cold days. I finally got the dust off my treadmill and set my speed for a faster then usual speed. I need some extra pushes to get my runs done faster. Tread mills are so boring to me even when watching tv. If I read I get motion sickness from bouncing up and down. Today the sun is shining snow is melting quickly away, so I opened my windows and got on the treadmill and kicked it up to a fast run. keep in mind I am only 5′ and my legs are short so when I say I kicked up, I tried to run 6.5 mph and well my legs were spinning! So I had to only kick it to top speed of 6mph, with a couple breaks at 5.5 mph over all pace was 9:47/mile whoo hoo. I am so psyched I kept that pace for 2 miles strait until I had to stop. My goal was to run a 5k at 10:00/min mile…but I think I am now setting a new pace goal of 9:50/mile for 3.1 miles. I know I can do this on the treadmill. Real life goal is still 10:00/mile cause I will have uneven ground and a few hills in my normal run. I am getting ready for my next December races : Santa Run and Reindeer trot and of course the Cable Bridge run. Then I will take a little break and be ready for the New year coming up and find some great runs. Next year I plan on running 10k’s alot more instead of 5k’s. What are your goals for 2016!!!!!
