The hardest thing in getting my workout done in a day is finding the energy to keep going till bedtime. I wake up at 5 am, and I am a website owner, homeschool my 2 children, act on a parent partnership PTO board as events planner and volunteer coordinator, and still have my everyday wife, and home duties. Where do i find the time or energy to get it all done? Well its not easy! The first thing I do in the mornings is workout or go on a run. I find that gets me awake and moving. I am not a caffiene of coffee drinker so I can skip all that as well. After my run I eat my breakfast. Work on my website. Then I get ready for the day to start by 8am.  I have made breakfast and fed my children, or dropped them off at workshop/school classes. I teach my son his school work, eat lunch. Finish anything we have missed, then pick my daughter up and run her to sports/soccer right now everyday, she plays on 2 teams. My son is in a band and plays sports as well. Make dinner ( sometimes hubby makes dinner),then on my off morning runs, to join my running group. When I come home I do any dinner dishes cleaning and go to bed. We all have similar or very hectic lifestyles we chose with our families. At the end of the day I am wondering, how do we do it everyday. The weekends are not any better, or easier, at least not in my house. Sat brings more sports and games to get to. Trying to keep healthy and work food is not easy. On Sundays we have church and any chores that need catching up. Usually laundry I am good at keeping our Sundays light. This is just my story. We all have busy lives. Here are some food tips to help keep your body fueled up throughout the day:

  1. Oatmeal is a great quick breakfast (homemade not instant)optional add ins…almonds, raisins, cinnamon, sliced strawberries, granola etc… eat it how you like it. I love oatmeal for breakfast because it fuels me up, and keeps me full till lunch time.fuel oatmeal
  2. Apples…apples are great your body burns them quickly. and they give you at least an hours worth of good workout energy. Perfect Snack and taste great with peanut butter and nuts.
  3. Whole grain or wheat bread, I love the pocket bread for tuna or chicken  sandwhiches remember to use little and light mayo if you need it. add some pickles, redonion, celery, baby spinach.
  4. baby spinach salad with red onions (I like red onions) cherry tomato’s, balsamic vinegerette dressing or I like no dressing.
  5. Supplement- yep I said it. Sometimes we need a quick on the go supplement. I use Advocare products. They are safe, and they will help with energy levels. Are they required? No, but I have found that they helped me a lot. Plus this company has non caffiene products as well as caffiene products. I use their protein shakes between meals, and meal replacement shakes for meals. I use many products, but I always recommend you talk to your physician, and research any product you take.
  6. Great on the go supplements can be protien bars, energy drink, not the store kind compare labels here.

Foods to stay away from that drain your energy

  1. High sugary foods
  2. POP
  3. Store Energy drinks they cause you to crash,I dont have time to jitter and crash.
  4. Chips
  5. Fast food all high in calories and have no energy value.

Knowing how your body works and fueling up with the right foods can make a big difference in your energy levels throughout the day. I hope this information is helpful and to research more on these supplements go to Advocare Supplements site .
