I have been starting to run long grueling distance on trails . Well for me long distance. I am pushing myself to run 7-8 miles, yes that is very long for a novice runner like me! My longest hardest run was over a mountain just shy of 1600ft elevation level. Afte running that my toes are now turning black. I have been reading about black toes and their seems to be nothing I can do about them but wait. In the mean time I have been continuing my training for my first real long distance race. Ragnar Relay Cascades. which due to Washington wild fires may be cancelled. I will be very disappointed to have trained so hard and not have a big race. I am really heartbroken of hearing the loss and devastation these fires are causing as well. I have family and friends in those areas that are trying to save their homes and town. I would love to hear any advice on long distance running or my toes. I cannot wait to read more contructive and respectful comments.
